Hello,I had some pain in my right side a year ago, had an ultrasound and blood tests and was diagnosed with Non alcoholic fatty liver disease. The doctor told me to book another blood test to see what stage it was at.
Like a complete idiot I didn't book the test because the pain went away and I thought it may have gone.
For the past week I have had excruciating shooting pains around my liver again. I went for the blood tests straight away however I have a really busy doctors surgery and can't get an appointment to speak about my results and what happens next.
I am in bed at the moment not able to sleep because of the pain. My stomach is so swollen and hard it feels like it's literally about to burst. I'm so sure I can feel my liver bulging out when I touch my stomach. I can't even bend down because I can feel my ribs digging into something.
I feel like I need to see someone ASAP and I'm wondering if it's worth going to a&e for some kind of relief and to find out what exactly it is. I wouldn't usually go to a&e unless I've broke a bone or something, but this is becoming unbearable.
Has anyone else had the same problem and could offer me any advice please. I feel like I don't know what to do really.

tbh I think you should go to A and E if you feel that bad, they will do scans and blood tests while you are there, otherwise it will take weeks through the doctors, maybe months….at the very least call 911 and let them decide, I’m sure they will tell you to go up there, good luck, hope you get sorted out soon xx
same and very uncomfortable but I’ve just been diagnosed type 2 diabetes aswell so waiting to start a soup shake diet which is supposed to be very good for reducing fat on liver and pancreas plus I rarely drink now which helps
Hi I can only agree with BLT on this one ring ambulance or go straight to A&E.
Good luck

Also have to agree, go to A+E and also sign up to mychart it allows you to see all of your hospital test results and keep track of who you see, visits, appointments, letters etc.
when using diet plans make sure that you get afull nutrition one REcommended by roy talor the newcastle diet.>exante, asda great shape tesco ultraslimgets rid of diabetes after 12 weeks but tells you how to keep the weight off and gives recipes in his book "life without diabetes .also should help with fatty liver and the pancreas.I have arld andtype 2 diabetes
The best but most expensive is the Cambridge Diet now called One to One...developed by doctors in the 1970s at Cambridge University. But it isn't cheap but it is extremely effective and nutritionally excellent.
mywife used this and lost someweight but says it didnttaste nice and didnt give any advice for keeping the weight off.this diet is specific scientificlly proven to get rid of diabetes inost cases
If you're concerned then please go to A&E, you may have a bit of a wait but if you tell them everything they'll run bloods and probably scan you. Don't let them fob you off with painkillers because you shouldn't be given them. At the very least it might give your GP a kick up the bum. Good luck xx
