Since my liver transplant, I have never been thirsty. Like you, I have to consciously remind myself to drink fluids. Quite odd really, and a bit of a shame as an ice cold glass of water was one of my favourite things.
Before transplant I was very thirsty however, so a bit different from what you are experiencing. If you are having nausea etc, that may explain your body's reluctance to drink. It is vital that you stay hydrated though, the last thing you want is constipation due to being a bit dry..
Thank you & yes i am on lactoloce but still it has been a diffucult to go to the bathroom. I will just have to force myself to drink more. Funny i got this disease & never drank in my life
Hi. RHGB. The color of my urine was orange amber color. That & Pain in my left side made me go to the E.R then i was told about my condition. Now it is (my urine) yellow. & yes a bit smelly. they took blood . no infection. Thank you.
Apart from your first morning pee, urine should be no darker than straw colour and fairly odourless. Being darker and having a strong smell usually indicates dehydration. Maybe they should have taken a urine sample for test as well.
They did. It all came back negative. I asked my primary care doctor about all this. He said it could be because my liver is failing on me..It's effecting my bladder. But he wasn't sure at all. My liver did fail 3 times already 17 yrs ago. And i can't remember a thing when it failed. My brother found me jaundice & unresponsive .
