Might be a silly question but do you have your gall bladder?

Adjust your diet, keep away from oils fats and spice till you see the docs to minimise the risk of acid reflux.

I'd 2nd what Kizzy40 suggests in staying of the acid, spicy food groups. Hubby who has cirrhosis also suffers terrible indigestion if he eats anything greasy, spicy, acidic (fruit juices, pickles, coleslaws) this is often to the point of being bent double in agony. He has issues with his stomach lining due to portal hypertension and has varices. He's prescribed Omeprazole to reduce stomach acid and avoids all foods which cause him the problems and touch wood he hasn't had the issue for over a year though his diet has become rather bland.

Have you had a recent endoscopy in case there are issues developing there?

Definitely worth getting checked out.

All the best, Katie

Thank you so much for your replies and advice. I do have my gall bladder, and I have made big changes to my diet, however room for improvement! As gaviscon is my new best friend at the moment.

again thanks for taking the time to share advice

Happy New year
