I had my gallbladder out 18months ago. Since then I have cut down on fat. I am a vegetarian on a low carb. diet and I have an under-active thyroid. I am still getting pain after meals is there anything I can do to relive it or should I ask to see someone?

Gall bladder problems
Hi I must stress I am not a consultant nor am I medically qualified in any other field. all I can quote is my own medical history I like you have had my Gall Bladder out sometime ago like you after that I had pains after meals but like a fool I went on the Internet for information and that informed me {you can have the same symptoms as with the gall bladder} and I went with that and my pains got worse as time went by until I developed pain that lasted continually for over 24hrs phoned my doctor for a home visit she told me I was jaundiced she would have me admitted to hospital who after a scan told me I had a stone in my common bile duct which they retrieved by a endoscopy procedure so I do not want to cause you unnecessary concern but that was my history we are all unique and different go to see your GP don't let this drag on like I did by the way op was nothing to worry about in the end I was fine All the Best I know what you must be going through Rallyman1
Thank you so much Rallyman,Glad you are fine now. Yes I think I must go back to my GP,talk it through and ask to be referred back to the hospital.Last time I talked to my GP he seemed to think it was to do with fat absorption, guess he doesn't know everything. Thanks again.x
