I was wondering if anyone else has similar symptoms to me? I am awaiting a scan. Years of intermittent pain, bloating, wind and feeling nauseous. My symptoms have escalated. Terrible pain in middle of rib cage but towards the left, is happening 2-3 a week now. Drs keep saying trapped wind, which at first I believed. But different diet makes no difference.
My gall bladder infection pain started on the RHS but moved to the centre and then the LHS.
The pain was severe at times and was given morphine that worked wonders.
I had an op to remove the stones and to open up the holes in the bladder for future stones to escape.
This was fine for a month but it inflamed again and had an emergency op to remove the bladder. I had a yellow complexion and could hardly eat anything for about a week.
That was last xmas and my bloating has completely disappeared and for the first time in years I wake up with no stomach issues apart from burping and farting that annoys my wife.
I have them now and my pain is upper central stomach. It’s like someone dropped a hot stone in there and it’s eating away through me. Hideous.
I have a phobia of being put under, but I’d do it today to rid of this.
I have a sick bucket next to my bed as yes nausea and dry heaving are a regular occurrence, along with wind which I’m not certain its related. I’ve barely eaten in the last week ... and lost more weight and the pain is almost permanent now.
It really sounds like the sort of pain I suffer with and with what you say you don’t have a lot of enthusiasm about trapped wind, I don’t know what I’d do without my wife at times, when I have spent sometime on my back lifting my knees up and out then rolling from side to side my wife then massages my stomach which hurts then on my knees with my wife massage my back. It takes a long time but stretching in-between all of these works, I wish you the best of luck because I know it really hurts and makes you feel really sick 🤢.
Hi Dogbot. I do all the rolling around to ease the wind. Thing is I don’t necessary have wind with the pain. I am in agony always at night lasting 3-5 hours. So you can imagine I feel exhausted and drained. I’ve been managing it for years (once every couple of months). But the last 7-9 weeks it is a few times a week. I clearly can’t continue like this. I’m just hoping the flare up of Covid, doesn’t put a halt to any treatment.
No I do hope that they can see you soon they is nothing worse then not getting a night sleep it can wear you down and not to mention bring on anxiety my very best to you good luck 😉
I have cirrhosis and gallstones my Dr. Prescribed me sulfate and I have no problem. I thought because you have cirrhosis you couldn't operate on gallbladder.
You can have gallbladder op with cirrhosis, but if they can avoid it they will, as cirrhosis can bring other issues with it. Each case will be studied individually and the risk of not doing it weighed up against going ahead. Just thought I'd clarify.
