That is the correct dietary advice. It is as simple as that. Get the operation to remove as soon as you can. Go to see your GP

hi there. its important to try to stay on as low fat as possible, they say 3% fat at each meal which is almost impossible. eat small meals much smaller than you ate before so that its easeier to digest.fods like chicken without the skin. mashed potatoes, fish and rice and cereal and porridge. no fried foods.. no cheese or cream or butter or marg. thats what i did anyway. as the pain was so bad.and it did help to keep the meals very small and more regular and as little fat as possible. i did do juicing maily vegatables and even then i had to strain the fiber that was left in the juice as it was to painful for me to digest it. i ground up some nuts and spinkled them on foods so that i was getting some of the good fats that the body needs and also every day i had and still try to have flax seeds as thats another good fat for heart disease among other things and constipaiton. drink plenty of water. have buscopan for cramps and omeprazole for acid indigestion and plenty pain killers. what happend after you'v had a scan and been told you have gallstones is you go on a waiting list and then when the time comes you get called to the hospital for a pre op discussion where they take your blood pressue and find out anything they may need to know about all of your health. then after that you get the date to go in usually its a day case thing where you go in on a morning and are home at night. although some poeple may stay the night if they dont feel like going home. i grind up almonds 1desertful and sunflower seeds 2desertul and flax sees 3 desert ful and put it in my soup and porrige or where ever. i keep it in the fridge. i just make up small quantities at a time. as we do need good fats. not oils lards or butter as we just cant seem to handly any kinds of oil or fat in that form.i also try to stay away from processed ready meals as they are really bad for us anyway. even if we are healthy. i'v eaten the odd ones sice i'v had my gallbaldder removed and i fall asleep within an hour of eating them. can i ask why you might get an endoscopy or an ERCP. as that doesnt sound as though it is very straightforward. love grace xoxoxo

Thank you so much for taking the time to share all that you have. It's really really going to help I m sure, I mentioned ERCP endoscopy as I read it in a book, but gallbladder removal is what all my colleagues recommend . Thank you again so much for your help it's greatly appreciated and so very thoughtful of you my names Mark by the way, your info will certainly help. I ve never experienced such awful pain. Happy Christmas lol

yes mark i know the pain is terrible i had never heard of a gallstone or gallbladder but i know what they are now, if your case is straighforward as many are ( mine was not ) it will be just like above but if you ever feel that your pain is worse or worse than it was and your not getting relief you should go straight to the hospital as stones can end up in bile ducts thats why people get an ERCP to check the bile ducts. i had one, if you try to keep as low fat as possible and stick to small meals im sure it will help you. also if you feel that your pain is really bad you could go to your doctor and ask them to refer you to get taken quicker as thats what happened with me as some of us suffer much more than others although many people have tried to hold on to their gallbladder by the time that the pain gets much more serious they have to get it out.the operations are done every single day its over before you know it and when you wake up in hosptial they are right there with pain relief and they make sure that we dont suffer any pain, so thats good also you will leave the hospital with pain relief. make sure that your getting a good relief from you pain now and if there is one thing the doctors know is that gallbadder and gallstones cause very severe pain and they are good at giving you something to help.i found that drinking plenty water helped. if there is anything else you want to know or that i might have some experience of dont hesitate to ask. merry christmas to you too. 🤗xx

Hi there had another gallbladder attack excruciating so bad I called 999 and was admitted into hospital ended up on coronary care unit as they suspected heart problems but was discharged when it wasn't , said I was afraid to eat and that it was my gallbladder that caused it and they said they d be able to refer me to the surgeons in out patients some time. Saw my doctor to and they still haven't received the ultrasound so can't act , But she said the hospital will deal it after seeing my discharge letter. Could be a long time, really scared to eat , hope you are better

I had a frozen shoulder a few years back, and found a clinic in Hamstead, North London. Strangely enough, called the Frozen Shoulder Clinic. Not sure if it's still going, or the treatment is available elsewhere, but it sorted me in about 6 months rather than the 2 years for it to heal naturally. Also, I discovered later, you can have it operated on with the NHS. Good luck.
