I'm 40 and I have multiple health issues. I've had right sided pain for years. I had hida scan years ago that was 97 ( which some consider hyperkinetic),but my doctor's said it was normal. Through the years my digestion started to suffer. I started burping constantly, whereas I spent my whole life not being able to. I had numerous ultrasounds for the right side pain which were all normal. Then I started getting awful reflux nothing would help and constant nausea and diarrhea. This progressed until like a month ago I had pizza and had really bad right side pain through my back. I was nauseous and my stomach hurt and really bad diarrhea. I got a fever and thought I had a stomach bug, but no one else got it. I was suffering until I finally went to ER. Ultrasound finally showed gall bladder sludge and a dialated common bile duct. My blood tests have always been perfect. It also said my liver was echogenic consistent with hepatic steatosis or heptocellular disease. I'm very concerned I have something wrong with my pancreas or liver. I am waiting for surgeon consult, but a regular doctor seemed to think my gall bladder wasn't causing anything where as ER doc told me to contact surgeon). I eat fairly healthy, but I've gained a lot of weight when I had my thyroid removed. Is anyone familiar with this or the dialated bile duct? My symptoms are : constant nausea, stomach pain , reflux, burping , floating yellowish stools, itching here and there along with darker urine sometimes, and right side and back pain. My liver function tests have always been on lower end and pancreas tested fine. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

I am curious to see what you learn or others tell you. I've had right side pain right in the middle of the abdomen, under right rib cage for a year now and they told me gallbladder sludge. They want to do an endoscopy and I have yet to have a HIDA scan...
Have you take any blood test and tumour marker such as Ca 19-9?
97% ejection fraction is to high on a HIDA scan. Some say over 65%, some say over 75% and some say over 80% is to high. Either way yours was way over.
Hi Daniedd. Dilated bile ducts coupled with your symptoms could mean some kind of an obstruction within the biliary tree.
Hope all gets sorted out soon
