To all

I recently got my liver test results after a week of an abdominal pains in my both left and right side. The results seemed fine on aspect of the test I meaned blood count was within the normal range expect ALP which has shot to 134 . Could anyone advise on what this means to my liver.thanks

A first port of call might be this site: patient.co.uk/doctor/Abnorm... but if it means as little to you as it did to me, I would ask my GP in the first instance and there may be a referral in the offing. I think what is not an option is to ignore it.

A high ALP with the other Liver functions within normal range might mean a bile duct blockage rather than general liver inflammation. What has your GP said about the elevated ALP?
