So finally my tests results are here in my email I’m still not sure if I should be happy or not, all liver panel are normal except for bilirubin as usual , last year total bilirubin was 28.8 but today it has gone down to 22.0 (normal range 2-20) conjugated bil 4.1 same as last year(normal range 0.34)
Now this is what scares me I did a full count test and I noticed I have NRBC level of 0.2 ( normal range 0.02) I’ll be going to my GP with this results on Tuesday but google is saying any presence of NRBC in the blood is dangerous and could mean cancer, anemia and lots of horrible stuffs, also I have a low urea level 2.2 (normal range 2.5-6.4) google says low urea is caused by low protein, malnutrition or severe liver disease, has anyone else experienced low urea without having a major issue ?
I hope anyone could shed some light on this
Thanks x

I wouldn't be overly concerned with blood results and numbers - blood pressure can be similar in the sense that if you were to take blood pressure readings throughout the day they would vary and never be the same. I had an ovarian cancer marker of 361 (max healthy range is 30) was referred to gynaecologist and he picked up immediately that my liver was causing the high reading and nothing to do with anything gynaecological.
I strongly recommend you stop listening to Doctor Google and stick to NHS and Liver Trust websites only. According to Doctor Google I had 6 to 12 months to live when if fact by following advice from the clinicians my health is improved and stable.
Blood numbers are only a guidance tool and to be analysed by trained clinicians not us lay people. I have no idea what my 'numbers " are, and I don't know what my MELD number is.
Eat well - see NHS and this site for advice and abstain from alcohol. Every day is a gift.
When I was diagnosed with my liver problem, I NEVER googled it - as at first , no one had any idea what it was but the professionals knew I had to have a transplant. Dr Google just predicts doom and gloom especially if one doesn’t really understand the results and panic and paranoia sets which is no good. Try and use the NHS sites that offer advice and guidance. Almost 3 years post transplant, I trusted and did exactly what was told to me by the amazing professionals and I’m just getting on with my life now thanks to my wonderful donor family. Good luck!
PS, My Billirubin was 580 just before TP and the chart only went up to 600. 😀
