Well that’s was a shock to the system. It was sooooo cold I couldn’t see clearly cos my eyes were running so much. I think I need some warmer leggings as my legs were really really cold 🥶But I did manage a bit of a run/walk. Hey ho onwards we go 🤣

I have some very cheap thermal leggings from the infamous central aisles at lidl and they make a fantastic difference. And good for you for getting out there! Even with my leggings I had to wait until early afternoon yesterday, hoping it would be warmer. It wasn't!

I’m on the hunt already 🤣

An extra layer makes a huge difference. My coldest run, well below 0C, I had at least 2 layers everywhere except knee to top of thigh. Felt great on the run but when I got home my thighs were completely numb, as unfeeling as they were when I had an epidural 😂 (though I didn't go for a 5k after that!)Top tip: mittens are great for keeping your hands warm 😁

Yes mittens are def required accessories in this weather I’ll have to get some thermals

I bought some thermal leggings online. They do the job keeping my legs warm but they're a light coloured thermal layer over the thighs with black on top, so when I put them on and it stretches a bit it looks like I'm just wearing black pants and stockings 😂 So I save them for the very cold, very early mornings when nobody's around to question me on my choices 🤭

Sounds like a good idea I’ll have to have a look on line

I wear a pair of loose shorts over leggings if it's really cold. This stops overheating from thermal leggings, but keeps me warm.

Mmmm could try that too. Thanks for the tip 🩳🩳

It’s really miserable out there at the moment. Feels like it has been a very long winter. Fingers crossed for a lovely summer, we deserve it. I run all year round in shorts. But I do layer up my top half, wear gloves when it’s very cold and I also wear a bobble hat and a snood around my neck.

Yes it’s wild up here today so no run for me as it’s too windy with 40 mph gusts.
