Hi all, no dramatic news - I'm still consolidating, but the weather has made it really difficult to find a run. So today, the ice seemed to have more or less gone. This meant that - 1 - I could get out of my street, and 2- I could go for a run! Yay! I partnered up with couchpotato2, who was on w6r2 (I think) of c25k. After a couple of false starts, we found some streets with pavements clear enough to do the run on. We tried our usual local green spaces first, and they looked ok from a distance, but turned out to be treacherously slippery underfoot so we headed back into town. Boring but safe.
I stayed with her, more or less, just to keep everything ticking over, although I ran a little longer.
It rained all the way, that fine drizzly rain that soaks you by stealth. My fingers behaved themselves though, and stayed their normal colour, and by the end both CP2 and myself were positively glowing. (as far as I could tell, my glasses had steamed up :D)
My foot is also ok, so a parkrun could be on for the weekend - if the quagmire has dried out enough.
It was SOOO good to get out, I was starting to mutter angrily to myself and that's never a good sign. Happy running all!
