Group 10K (60 minutes): behind but still going

IF I was up to date with the Group MP I'd be on Week 5 but thanks to all sorts of stuff I'm only mid way through Week 3. Never mind, keeping at it means I'll get there eventually....

Today's run was 44 minutes. Looked for an NRC run that length, the nearest was the Next Long Run at 42 minutes, so that was fine, just add another couple of minutes at the end.

A beautiful morning, sunshine over the river. Started slowly, listened to Coach B. Carried on slowly as well. As I neared the end I was around the 4.5km mark (told you I was slow 😂) so decided I may as well carry on and run 5km. Of course, running this slowly means it takes a while. In the end my 44 minute run lasted 46 minutes and covered 5.01 km.

Only one more run for Week 3 and that's only 15 minutes so I may take a run to the shops and back tomorrow. If I buy ice creams there'll be an incentive to run a bit quicker 😂🥶🕸

Sounds like you’re perfectly on track with your own personal plan timings to me! I love the idea of ice cream as a reward. Enjoy!! Those 15 minute runs are so nice for a quick “I need to move but I don’t want a long run” boost!
