πππ Nadolig Llawen/Merry Christmas Bridge Team! Hope the holiday brings you joy in many forms, be that rest, runs or running kit from Father Christmas!
One of my favourite Christmas traditions is now a run on Christmas Day. Itβs such a lovely refuge from all the craziness-thirty minutes of peace just for me. This year it might have to be a walk (still recovering from flu) but Iβm hoping to sneak in a few little jogettes.
Anyone else planning on getting a Christmas run in? Maybe even at parkrun?
Have a wonderful day whateverβs on your plan! πππ

I wish you a very happy Christmas MissUnderstanding , I am the opposite of you regarding runs and exercises on Christmas Day, I only go a short walk with my neighbours dog Holly on Christmas Day, I don't do any running, or the other exercises I do on most other days, I ran this morning and will run on Boxing Day, this morning I ran a short 3K around the park near to where I live, on Thursday I intend to rerun run 2 of week 9 of C25K on the exact route I ran it on the 16th June 2018, so Christmas Day for me is a complete rest day , may I wish you and yours the best wishes of the season.πβ π°
We will be heading an hour up the road to run Blyth Links Parkrun π π Merry Christmas to you MissUnderstanding and all of our friends on here π
Enjoy your parkrun both. The only one close to me this morning is Great Yarmouth and I'm not up to that one, even at a walk, I'm cooking later it wouldn't do if I was sleeping for the rest of the day, happy Christmas from me πβπβπ
Really enjoyed it Annieapple Newbiggin was wonderful too. We've only a few more and we have ticked off all the Parkruns in the North East. Enjoyed every single one of them.
Last year was Worthing parkrun on Christmas day, so different this year but I'll head out for a short run as soon as it gets light, happy Christmas ππππ
It has thanks, nice walk along the beach with children and we all cooked part of dinner and put it all together to eat as a family. Hope you've had a great day MissU
Merry Christmas, I had a run yesterday too much to do this morning but it was lovely and festive ππ enjoy and I hope you begin to feel better very soon x
Thank you for the good wishes! Iβm coughing but less tired which is a win. Iβll do a Christmas walk later. Congratulations on your run yesterday and have a wonderful day today π
I did! Even better I went for aquick 5k this morning znd MR Wk7 had the espresso martinis ready to serve in the garden as soon as I got back. What a great way to start the day.I hope you felt well enough to enjoy yours too.
Thatβs amazing!!! I didnβt run but MrU and I went for a 40 minute walk which was lovely. No espresso martinis but mulled wine hit the spot! I might run tomorrow. Hooray!
I did Medina parkrun today at home, met a lovely forum friend there too who I haven't seen in while too! Was welcome relief after a week worrying about my Dad who's still in Hospital after an infection and fall, luckily he's much better today. So daily visits til he's let out . He enjoyed seeing my parkrun photos π
That looks like such a lovely park run. Running. Is so good for headspace when there are tough things going on. Sending recovery wishes for your dad and hugs to you β€οΈ
After driving late on Christmas Eve (loading the car was very fiddly) and not getting to bed until 4am, I was in no fit state to run on Christmas Day itself. I was also required for various tasks during the day.
I did get a little run in this morning (just ΒΒβ it was 11.45am) to work off a little of the gluttony of the evening before. It was 'orrible out: damp and raw, with fog in the area.
PS. The prefab sprouts were just as disgusting as normal ones.
I think a fair few of us will be doing glutton runs over the next few days!!! The weather is rhe same here-it looks like the set of a horror film. Letβs hope we get some winter sun!
