Vitality 10k complete!

I completed the vitality 10k for the second time last weekend. I did it with my friend, and we were both tired due to our busy weeks but it ended up being very enjoyable. I got a nice little runner's high toward the end ๐Ÿ˜„ It's fun signing up to races and just doing them with no particular goal of a PB, although my speed was significantly faster than the last time which is just a bonus. I will most likely join Parkrun runs as they are free and allow me to get the same community experience. Hope everyone is having a good week!

What a super race for you!! I bet youโ€™re wearing the medal with a massive smile. Massive congratulations!!! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

This year MrU and I set ourselves the challenge to do 12 parkruns (averaging one a month). Iโ€™ve done 10 now and Iโ€™ve been surprised how much Iโ€™ve been enjoying them. Itโ€™s taken a while for me to embrace the โ€œitโ€™s not a raceโ€ ethos but now itโ€™s a genuinely enjoyable part of the weekend. Hopefully youโ€™ve already spotted the weekly thread put up here by damienair . Youโ€™ll get lots of cheers when you post your parkruns there!

Canโ€™t wait to hear how you get on!

Hi and thank you! This was so lovely to read... I also feel that way sometimes about it needing to be a "race", but a balance is really nice too! I do enjoy running on my own but I think it might be good for me to run in my local community every now and then. I'll have a look at the weekly thread you mentioned. Congrats to both of you on completing such a challenge!! Only two more park runs to go! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘
