I completed the vitality 10k for the second time last weekend. I did it with my friend, and we were both tired due to our busy weeks but it ended up being very enjoyable. I got a nice little runner's high toward the end π It's fun signing up to races and just doing them with no particular goal of a PB, although my speed was significantly faster than the last time which is just a bonus. I will most likely join Parkrun runs as they are free and allow me to get the same community experience. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Vitality 10k complete!
Congratulations, bet you're still buzzing at achieving this
Parkrun is great too, you've got lots to look forward to.
ππββοΈπ Those little highs are always the cherry on the top! π Park run is amazing for those who enjoy community events!
What a super race for you!! I bet youβre wearing the medal with a massive smile. Massive congratulations!!! πππ
This year MrU and I set ourselves the challenge to do 12 parkruns (averaging one a month). Iβve done 10 now and Iβve been surprised how much Iβve been enjoying them. Itβs taken a while for me to embrace the βitβs not a raceβ ethos but now itβs a genuinely enjoyable part of the weekend. Hopefully youβve already spotted the weekly thread put up here by damienair . Youβll get lots of cheers when you post your parkruns there!
Canβt wait to hear how you get on!
Hi and thank you! This was so lovely to read... I also feel that way sometimes about it needing to be a "race", but a balance is really nice too! I do enjoy running on my own but I think it might be good for me to run in my local community every now and then. I'll have a look at the weekly thread you mentioned. Congrats to both of you on completing such a challenge!! Only two more park runs to go! ππ
Late to the party but congrats Zee221b
