🍏🙌Good for you… so many put off by heavy rain today! I personally love the NRC plans & runs!

Fantastic! I enjoyed that plan when I did it. Are you planning on keeping rest days? Unless you’ve built up to five runs a week, most people either choose three or make a week last longer to keep the recovery between the runs.

Have fun!

I started out doing the three runs/week - Recovery, speed, distance, but as I had the time, towards the end, I started the longer 'week' option.

It's a great plan! And I enjoyed the guided runs (although a bit corny at times).

Prefer to run 3days aweek with occasional 4 runs a week so will run over 2 wks

I’m currently on 5 weeks to go of that plan but taking 2 weeks per week! I’m quite daunted by the 8k run as I’ve only run 6k. I’m going to build up my runs to 8k I think rather than try and do an 8k straightaway.

That’s a good option-there’s a 7k run in the Nike Run Club list of all guided runs you could use if you wanted some commentary. I often add cut back weeks where I have a light week before going onwards. Plans are helpful guides but it’s always ok to adapt to what suits you.

Thanks, I’ll have a look at that.

I've started the NRC 10 plan (and previously the HM plan) and with both of them got as far as the 8k run. Don't be intimidated, it's not that scary once you're out there. Your legs know what to do.

Obviously I see the sense in doing 7k first but I'm just saying you can look forward to pleasantly surprising yourself!

Not what you're looking for?
