Finally plucked up the courage to register of a half marathon in March 2019 and to give me further motivation I am running to raise money for Zoe's Place Coventry. I am actually very excited and looking forward to devloping a plan to get me to increase the distance I can run comfortably at. If there is anyone on here that wants a running partner in training for the Coventry Half Marathon then please give me a shout and we can sort something out

I've entered the London Landmarks half in March last year. I'm nowhere near Coventry but it will be my first HM so I can be a VRB in training :) Have you joined the Marathon group on here? they're all very friendly, and many names are familiar from this group too :)

I applied for the landmarks but was not successful. I thought I would choose a local HM to take my HM virginity. Yes I am on the Marthons forum and look forward to the advixce I will get on here. I find this forum inspirational and motivational

A half marathon wasn't even on my radar when you could apply for non-charity places for LLHM :) I applied for my place through Mind - a charity very close to my heart - and I'm hoping that the fundraising will give me the kick I need whenever the gremlins try to get the better of me. I don't live in London but my son does so I've roped him in too (and hopefully he will offer me a couch to sleep on the night before) :D

Good luck with your training

Congrats on taking the plunge! I’ve got a couple on my bucket list I’m kicking around but am in Canada so, like Linda, can be a VRB.
