Hi good people. I am grateful to have this community. It got me to 5k and now I hope the same for comfortable 10 k runs. I'm still running barefooted. Namaste

Ju Ju's Magic Plan.... many of us have done this and many of us more than once! After illness, injury or time out, it is a great plan!
NRC do a 10 K plan....a fair few here currenlty doing that,,,, I am on the plan, just for fun, ( Ju Ju's plan is my favourite) , but with tweaks.
Take a scroll around and I am sure you will be getting loads of replies
I'm one of those on the NRC plan. I've liked the guided runs with Coach Bennett - sometimes a bit corny but nice to have someone with you on the run.
The plan is 5 runs/week. I started doing three of the runs/week - 1 recovery run, speed run, and long run. But after a few weeks decided, on advice, to try all 5 runs over 10 days (a rest day in between each run). I've preferred that.
My first 10K race is the Vitality 10000 at the end of the month.
Best of luck and let us know how you get on.
