Gruesome and gorgeous

Post covid and knee niggle recovery is going well. I had three runs this week of 30 minutes. The first two were lovely. I just decided to do them at a gentle pace and they were just gorgeous. The third one? Bleeding gruesome! It was one of those concrete leg situations that happen every so often no matter how slowly you plod. However, I pulled up my big girl pants, tightened the drawstring on the leggings and got on with it. Sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and get it done, don't you? So that is another 30 minutes in the legs - not pretty - but now in the bank.

Let's see what next week brings. Maybe start to extend a little all being well. Onwards!

Yep, sometimes there seems to be no reason for a bad run🤷‍♀️…and luckily the next one is usually better! Well done - sounds like you are back!🙂

Well done for getting it done. I bet concrete legs are related to the treacle legs I had last week😂😂

Hope the next one goes well and you get 3 out of 3 good ones this week! For some reason I have been stick in the concrete leg/out of breath scenario for the last few weeks just keeping plodding waiting for my easy runs to return!!

You are so right-sometimes runs just have to be done. Those hard fought miles are in your legs now and they’re to be celebrated. That’s much easier when the run has ended! Congratulations on battling it out. The run was tough but you were tougher!
