It’s August and it’s HOT! Badges are here and they’re even hotter! If you’ve hit a milestone in this heat, you deserve to be extra proud of your self! So…if you’ve run 10k or 60 minutes for the first time, you’re in the right place to claim your new and shiny badge. Massive congratulations to you! 🎉🥳🎉🥳🎉
If you would like to claim your badge, reply below and tell me all about how you did it! That’s just because I’m nosey and want to hear all about your triumphant run.
Now you’ve hit your latest goal; you might want to think about what’s next. There are some great suggestions on this thread here…
If you’re even a little bit tempted to go beyond 10k, make sure you pop over to the Fun Beyond 10k forum. There really is a lot of fun to be had there! You’ll be made very welcome, It’s common for people who are running 10k to think about entering events and there’s loads of support (and pom poms!) available there too. Here’s the link….
Not sure whether I should be claiming a 60 min badge but that’s what I ran this morning 😃I’m only on week 5 of Magic plan so I went for the 50 min long run and just kept going because I felt like it! It was really warm, and raining so I was a bit apprehensive when I set off but I forgot about that whilst listening to Coach Bennett & friends. I should probably go back to the plan for next week but I know I’ll be doing the 55 min run and think “it’s only another 5 mins so just do 60 mins anyway” 😉

You ran 60 minutes…you absolutely deserve the badge! Congratulations!! A lot of us get carried away on a run or two. I ran 10k when I was aiming for 8k. No judgement here! Enjoy your build to 10k and I’ll swap your badges when you’re ready!
Thanks, I’m buzzing about it 😁 I still feel like I’m an old bloke trying to run but hey if I can run for 60 mins I can definitely call myself a runner! Next stop 10K, I’ll be back to add that shiny badge to my collection!
managed a 10k in June , just can’t seem to get there again , 5-8k is fine , and now Achilles tendon is really tender , need to find some advice on fixing preventing that as now need to rest up !
Ouch... i feel your pain. The only thing really if it is painful is to rest up. There are some exercises that you could do, but we need to be sure that no other damage is being caused.
If it is painful to walk or limiting foot mobility, then please do get it checked out... if it is just tender then you could try some gentle exercises.
