After a week of heavy cold & no running 10k seemed a bit of an ask! Planned to start at 9am but left things till the last minute as usual, late pre stretches, couldn't find spotify playlist, sunscreen application eventually out of the door by 9.10. I'm dog sitting this weekend so Otto, my sons dog had to do the 10k as well, but not a problem as his owners are all runners! It's a lovely day & I'm soon into my run, with pauses for doggy toilet stops & sniffs. We stop for snacks & drinks half way & I have to say really enjoying myself. The second half starts to be a slog after about 7k but determined to finish we struggle on, the last 1k without stopping. The first 10k in over a year, but pleased I can still do it, even at snails pace!

Woohoo!!! Awesome! 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Huge well done! (To you both) 👍👏
wow!! Well done to you both. I’ve just been catching up on your previous posts and I’m impressed that you have managed to get back to 10K so quickly.
I’ve only just got back to 5 and am just restarting my 10K journey. And finding it so much harder than I did 6 years ago but then as my daughter reminds me…. I’ve had 4 bouts of Covid, a couple of injuries and a major op since then so I should stop comparing and just appreciate being able to run again. And she’s right 😳.
Your post has given me hope that I’ll get there again. 👏🏃♀️
Nawhh, what a handsome chap Otto is! Awesome achievement to run 10k again. Great job 😊
Yay 😁 you did brilliantly and I'm sure the dog was pleased you did too
I’m still catching up with all the HU10k posts and yours was a great one! Congratulations!! 🥇
