After a crazy period of not having time for anything, I was finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Even halfway through the run, everything was fine. I was delighted by the "Hello" greeting someone left on the road.
But then everything changed in a few seconds.
I was dodging a reckless driver who nearly swept two oncoming cars off the road. And when I wanted to run back up the road, it was as if someone had thrust a red-hot knife into my calf.
The rest of the way, about 3.5 kilometers, I was literally limping in pain.
I went to the doctor today and they say it's a muscle tear from overuse.
I don't really understand it, recently it was just "maintenance runs" along a known route. No other routes. Maybe it has to do with stress... and bad shoes... and lack of time...? But it happened.
I confess that this is what I fear the most: That if I stop running, I won't start again. I can't even imagine how to continue after the break.
Anyway, I'm taking a break for a while and we'll see if I have the will and ability to get back into the routine.
Anyway, I wish everyone: Happy running! 👍
