So after running a whole year, and my time jumping all over the place, I think I finally am starting to see a trajectory that... yessss... goes in the right (faster) direction.
Ran my old C25k route this morning, usually lasting around 30 - 37min. In this glorious weather I wanted to rekindle my early morning spark from my C25k days. So first thing this morning, jumped into my running gear and off I went.
Down a short way on the road, turn into field lane, turn up a field track up the hill (which left me breathless during C25k), down the hill and past some fishing ponds, alongside stream, follow narrow track and back to field lane leading to road.
So I shaved only 10 seconds of my PB from last time, but that already had shaved off 30sec from the pre-existing PB.
So it is definitely improving, even though I didn’t make an effort to run faster. I just ran.
So really rewarding to see the stats improving.
(Of course what might have helped was not stopping to take a picture, the ones attached are from my last run which was its own PB!)
Happy running everyone!
