I've been away from this forum for a while. Life has been difficult these last few months, and while things are far from sorted they are improving. Running has taken a bit of a back seat too. Although I haven't stopped completely I'm only managing about 5k per week. But, as the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder, and I've missed you guys. So here I am, saying hello and aiming to get the running shoes on more often.

Welcome back to the forum Archerygoddess, I am glad that things are improving for you, congratulations on running 5K a week, better than sitting on the couch and watching Netflix all day, onwards and upwards 🏃🏾 👍 ✔️

Welcome back ! I’m pleased things are beginning to improve for you and 5k a week is fantastic. Running is usually one of the first things I drop when times are tough but it really shouldn’t be as it always lifts my spirits. Hope you manage to take your running shoes out again soon🙂

🍏 It’s great you are doing the runs you can! One run usually leads to another & as long as you out there smiling the number of K’’s is irrelevant. Good to have you back.

hello!!! Glad to see you back!!!

I am quite philosophical about my running. It flexes with my life’s needs, and over the 4 years of running, I have seen it wax and wane but never really disappear for long. At certain times I’ve run regular 10ks, at others only 2-3k.

All of it is ok and the flexibility of a running life is actually a huge plus.

And I love that must running apps with guided runs lean into this as well, by having 7 or 10 min runs to try out, alongside 30 to 60 min runs.

So 5k per week is awesome! Well done!
