Still going with the 10k plan and tucked away 12 outings over 4 weeks … only another 41 to go before race day 😉.
I feel a little more smug than usual because I really didn’t fancy going out today but it turned out to be OK 👍 isn’t that often the way ?
I’m still enjoying the variety of the plan. In recent weeks I’ve done progressive runs, speed intervals, straightforward “easy” runs and long runs.
Not sure if there should or shouldn’t be a difference between “comfortable” and “conversational” pace but I don’t think that is affecting my progress. Overall, it seems I’m not that great at judging pace but I do manage to speed up/slow down when required so the relative times of each k are correct even if the actual time is out.
I will catch up with you again after week 5 💪 Fingers crossed for some kinder weather for us all so even those on the IC may be able to get out for some fresh air 🤞

I tend to use “comfortable” and “conversational” pace interchangeably! I’ve always run them the same way and that’s served me well through a few NRC plans.
Judging pace efforts is a challenge. It’s a fun one though and I wouldn’t worry too much about getting it perfectly “right”. Nike Run Club usually bases them on effort so the numbers are going to vary. It’s super satisfying when you’ve managed to get your 5k faster than 10k, which is faster than HM etc!
It sounds like you’re doing absolutely brilliantly and the plan is really working for you. Long may that continue!
