In the Oslo area we have had temperatures above zero for a couple of weeks. The snow is melting. - Been melting for almost two weeks already. Lots left.Lost bicycles are appearing, along with other mysteriously disappeared objects - pavements along major roads are opening up.
Somehow I managed to maintain fitness through this annual nightmare. Almost no running outdoors. I still hate the gym treadmills, but I did learn how to use them.
Can't wait for the forest roads and paths to clear.

Well done 5KCouch, Spring has arrived in the UK as well as where you are in Norway, glad you can get outside to run and not on the treadmill, the UK hasn't seen much snow, only on one Saturday parkruns we're cancelled because of snow and ice, however, there have been more parkrun cancellations due to flooding because of the rain.
OK so now I’m going to stop complaining about wind and rain - at least I can run outdoors. Must be difficult doing everything on the treadmill - bet you can’t wait for the snow to go - how much longer do you think it will be ?
How much longer - hard to tell. Depends ... The snow is gone at sea level, in Oslo City. Further inland and higher altitudes take longer to clear. And we might get another spell of cold weather and snow. But the pavements are clear. Roads fringed with heaps of the snow that was pushed aside/shoveled.
So I can run on pavements etc. but I need to be careful because I need to build up tolerance to the impact, in my back and legs ...
Wow! That’s a great photo and such an evocative description of spring on the way. I bet you’re itching to get back on those forest trails. I can’t wait for more pictures. Oslo is a lovely city. Super jealous of you living there!
looks fantastic! And the way you describe it slowly melting and revealing all those lost treasures. Well done for keeping going through the winter a treadmill is now substitute for pounding streets or forest paths .
