So, another 10k run done - this time on my local roads, so a lot less muddy than my last couple of runs (although I missed it a bit if the truth be told!)
I basically ran my most frequently run 5K lap twice, which is good route as it contains a few inclines/ undulations to work the legs too.👍😬
Not gonna lie, wasn’t sure how this was going to go as my legs felt quite tired yesterday after ‘hills’ on Friday! 😱 This run however, reminded me not to listen to the gremlins in my head that try to trip me up with their negative comments! ‘Gosh, if it feels hard on lap one - what’s lap 2 gonna be like!!’. You know how it goes…!
Anyway, definitely a run that I settled in to - and I kept a fairly steady pace throughout. I’m not breaking any speed records that’s for sure but am just so pleased to be back running 10k again! 😊I have plans to work a little on pace if I survive my upcoming events!🤞🏃♀️
