I forgot to take pictures today so please be content with the spoils of today’s run, 2 members of the Tempo runs’ team and my new club shirt complete with a run number that has survived the series so far.
The day was nearly a disaster before we were out of the car, TailChaser was having a problem with her shoe. Something in the lining in the heel was rucked up and the shoe was unwearable. Thankfully I remembered my girl guide skill set, found a Swiss army type device in the glove box and cut through some stitching and straightened it out, so that, Cinderella -like, Tailchaser could go to the ‘race’.
We were lucky with the weather as the forecast was full of the storm due to arrive later today. We had a little breeze and some sunshine, as well as temperatures nicely above freezing.
The race was the usual anti-clockwise route, around the village first then up Campden hill. It was a bit more breezy on the top but not too blustery to affect the decent down Larkspur, although a little less mud would have been appreciated, as it made it a bit slippery.
Katnap was his usual super-speedy and once joined by Tailchaser was kind enough to wait for me to cross the line. I really appreciated the cup of tea they had waiting for me. Then it was time to collect our sausages and head for the car. The Kats already knew what size hoodies they wanted and had made sure it was all noted. I had a quick ‘try on’ and added my size to the list. Next month is the last in the series and the hoodies will be waiting, we know the colour but I think I will save that news for next time.
Toad in the hole for tea of course. Let’s see if any one remembered the photo before devouring their dinner!
