Nailed 6K 🤪

Some very wet running today just before wind from storm Isha made going too heavy. Set my NRC challenge to 6K as I keep running shy of it when running without the app to support. Very rewarding run in my local Clyde Gateway managed forest park. Spotted a Goosander flying over the Clyde. While I can't say I was flying alongside the Clyde, I was focused on extending my distance and all the online coaching came to the fore as I gave myself a good talking too, "one foot in front of the other", "don't push to hard". I really needed to be that coach to myself that Coach B talks about for the last 1K. I know its sounding a bit dramatic for 6K but I nailed it with not much else left. My body feels like it did before I graduated C25K i.e. pretty whacked! Really feeling it now as I had to go out again in the beginning of the storm. Going to have 3 rest days before running again. Any advice for keeping going towards a 10K goal welcome.

Good run for you today CredenceRainyDay along Clyde Gateway, isnt that near Glasgow Green,? don't worry about being whacked, that's normal especially in a wind, if you wish to run a 10K try Ju Ju's Magic 10 plan.

Many thanks AlMorr. Yes not too far from Glasgow Green. One day I hope to be able to run to The Green and do a circuit araund it. (Might even get the bus to take out a less interesting bit) I had thought the weather conditions may have had a lot to do with the level of tiredness I'm still feeling. Sometimes it's hard to quieten the hypochondriac that lives in my head with the happy runner 😁

Hi CRD, did you know that The Great Scottish Run ends in Glasgow Green at that monument to Nelson, also, the Glasgow mens 10K also uses that same stretch and other parts of the park but that 10K finishies at George Square, I am not sure if the womans 10K uses the same route as the mens.
