Its been nearly a year since I last ran regularly and about 18 months since I was on here. New jobs, new children, it all gets in the way. Anyway, towards the end of the year I started again, made my first 5K yesterday and now working towards the 10K target I used to run weekly!

I look forward to catching up with you all and watching your journeys.

Welcome back! I don’t think we overlapped before-two years ago I was getting stuck into couch to 5k and by the time I’d made it over here, I missed you!

Good luck with the new journey. You’ll notice a lot of us are building back up to a comfortable 10k. I’ve had injury and illness botherations and following the Nike Run Club app new plan with a bit of modification. Have you got something you’re going to use or just build gradually? You know you’ve done it before so that can give you a lot of encouragement that you’ll get there again!

I'm not following a formal plan but will incrementally add distance like I did previously - I am also supplementing running with cycling, yoga and strength training - there is a lot of determination this year!
