Since June 2021 I've logged practically all of my runs on the Nike Running Club app. After a while I noticed that it has different levels: Yellow is 0-49.99 km, Orange is 50-249.99 km, Green 250-999.9 km and Blue 1000-2499.99 km.

Well, today I got to Blue level, 1000 km completed using the app, and thought that, as it's going to take me quite a while to reach Purple, I might as well share it with you.

The weather was perfect, 8C and sunny, almost tropical When I got dressed I accidentally took out my short sleeved running t shirt but decided it was warm enough outside to wear it. I could probably have run in shorts but they are stored away waiting for springtime.

There hasn't been much if any rain for the last few days so the paths have dried out a little and solidified, though the third km, which is rough terrain at the best of times, was very wet and muddy. We had to run along the edge of the cultivated field (nothing growing, firm surface so hope we didn't do any damage).

It was a really enjoyable run, wonderful to be out in the sunny countryside after a couple of days glued to the couch in the gloom. It wasn't fast but who cares. Another 5km clocked up, another 374.5 km to go until my next 'milestone' according to the app.

I'm so glad I took the plunge with C25K, one of the best things I've done, and thanks to all you lovely people on here for the encouragement

Such a great post to read and I’m sure it’ll encourage so many others to keep going. I’m 25km off the blue NRC milestone and I’m hoping to tick it off before January. You’ve given me a push to get over the line!

Ooh, let us know when you reach the milestone! You'll cover 25km in a flash, then maybe we can see how long it takes to get to our Purple Patch

Thank you, I only noticed it a couple of weeks back, when the goal was definitely within reach. When I went for my run today all the bits on screen which used to be green are now blue.

Now it's a very long haul, another 1500 km, to the next level. It will take a while

it’s a bit like the staggering of parkrun milestone T-shirts. 25, 50, 100, 250, and 500!

Has Parkrun been going long enough for anyone to have a 500 milestone shirt? That's a very impressive goal!

Still have another 6 Parkruns to do before my first milestone, getting up on a Saturday morning is not my best skill 😂

Yes it started 2004, I think the ones who have done most are over 860 runs now.

I never thought I’d get up that time every Saturday morning but it has become addictive.
