Firstly, a question: is it possible to download the stats from NRC?
Now, completely unrelated, the run.
Me: Breakfast?
Him: Jogging?
Me: I was kind of hoping you'd forgotten....π
Haven't run since last week because the weather has been so horrible, freezing and wet. Our route, footpaths beside fields, is very popular with dog walkers, horse riders, everyone really, so the mud quickly churns up and it's honestly quite offputting. I knew if I didn't run I'd regret it but it was hard to put on my running gear and psyche myself up.
I wouldn't say I had gremlins, more a case of alternate logics fighting for supremacy. 'You know you'll enjoy it once you get going and you'll feel great once you've done it' vs 'It's going to be really muddy and slippery and gloomy out there'.
Happy to say that the first voice won. Only 3km but it's my first run this month and unless something goes horribly wrong it won't be my last. Yes, it was very very muddy in places but no worse than I've done lots of times before.
As Coach Bennett says (I paraphrase) 'The most difficult part of the run is leaving the house'.
