This was absolutely the worst part of today's run. Polished, dark ice dusted with fluffy new snow, like talc powder.Plus there were some wet spots. Which tended to be on slopes.
I met a couple in their seventies, coming the other way.
- Are you OK, she asked.
- It's been exciting.
They went on.
It got better on the other side of the lake. Colder. All of today's intervals completed. No excuses.
