Had to be done

Not sure I can really call it a run but I ran against the wind and I ran across the stones, then I took rather a lot of photos and ran back again. It was almost high tide, I was too impatient to wait another 40 minutes and the sun came out.

Stay safe out there, even better, stay in if you can

Stunning photos and I bet you feel good for getting out in the fresh air no matter what it was like and no matter how far you ran 👍

🍏 Love the gulls captured in two of the beautiful photos! As coach B would say “A run is a run” no matter how short the distance.

I'll add to it in the gym later, it was more for photos than running

It was good out, between rain and for once I kept my feet dry

gosh it looks stormy. A run no matter how long is better than nothing. I had to take the chance today a window without the rain and just went a 3km walk . Stay safe.

You went further than me then 😁 my run but was not much over 1k but I'm going to the gym later

You too Dexy5 it seems it'll hit you first, and no one seems really sure how bad it'll get.

Thursday morning, I have been watching live video streaming from Portland with very large waves battering the coast.

this is our parkrun course  AlMorr . Yes I have been at Portland in a storm, it really does catch the elements, and currents go in all directions.

sorry I can’t upload pictures

That's OK Dexy, I hope where you live that you havn't had any flooding either from the sea or a river and there is no damage to your house from the wind, the weather where I am in Central Scotland is cloudy with only a little light rain and the wind is light from a easterly direction.

Nothing wrong with a short run. Sounds like it was quite exhilarating!

It was and I needed it today

Running is still my medicine 😊. Although looking at the weather, I’m not sure about tomorrow! Supposed to be doing some hard speed intervals. If I get out at all, I think they might be quite slow!

I don't think I'll be leaving home tomorrow, hope it's ok your way. The wind is whistling round outside now and it's rough out there

I think you’ll have it much worse! We have the lighter yellow warning for wind. Looks like a gap in the morning, but I’ll see - not worth the risk if it’s bad - Friday looking much better. If I can’t run I’ll have a cooking day! 😊

Totally not worth the risk today....now a cooking day, what a good idea, I've been collecting recipes for just this sort of day 😃

Managed to get my interval run in before the wind picked up! It was raining, but not heavily 😊. Still got all day for cooking 😊

That's good, enjoy your cooking, I finished my book first, it was a bit miserable so I wanted to get it out of the way

Well - I’ve got a chicken Tagine cooking in the slow cooker and just made a really simple butter bean soup for lunch! Cooked a really tasty Bolognese sauce yesterday. Loads of meals for the freezer. Don’t know happened to me! I don’t usually cook much. Going to soak in the bath before lunch!

Wow you've been busy.....I went to wash up, decided to wash kitchen windows inside and out, then did a bit of painting, butter bean soup sounds good, and it's good to have things in the freezer for those days you can't be bothered

Fantastic photos, all I managed today was a walk along the sea wall to Tesco, stopping in the charity shop and to chat to a couple of people.

It was a very high tide and the choppy water was quite impressive, though being a river nothing like your fabulous waves.
