Thanks Doris8, after the excitment of today's 100th parkrun tomorrow as it will be GMT winter time I intend to go the first of my Sunday morning long walks, (the bike is away until next May) it will be around 16K, a mixture of trails and a very steep hill, about 30% gradient around the 5K part.
I hope then you donβt get the rain forecast for Scotland tomorrow . I canβt see me getting anywhere tomorrow. If u do get out enjoy your walk and stay safeβοΈπ
Me a legend HeavyFoot, hmmm, thanks anyway βοΈπI have been on this forum since September 2017, when I thought C25K was something to do with running 25 kilometers until I read what it was, I started C25K on 18th April 2018 and graduated 2 months later on June 18th.
Thank you very much Floss, I also remember that very first parkrun I ran at Dunfermline parkrun, it was on Saturday 13th July 2019, as I was getting ready to leave you sent me a private message wishing me luck for my first parkrun, I replied back to you saying you would be the first person I would tell how my first parkrun went, I was a little nervous when I got to Dunfermline but after the first time briefing I felt fine, the man who did that first time briefing also did the first time briefing yesterday, my first time parkrun time was 34:16, yesterday it was 34:37 but I was very careful not to fall in the slippery conditions caused by wet leaves on the course.
Thank you very much Dean, I enjoyed my 100th parkrun yesterday at Dunfermline, not so good this morning, I was going to go a 16 kilometers walk, mainly on trails but the weather has put a stop to that, it's light rain at the moment but the rain is forecast to get heavier soon
So annoying sitting at home due now to heavy rain outside, at least I got my run yesterday in dry weather, I will go that 16K trail walk next Sunday, despite the rain I hope you and Natasha have a lovely day this Sunday in Walton on the Naze. π β€οΈβοΈ
Thanks misswobble, two brilliant achievements recently, that 100th parkrun and earlier in the Autumn my first 10K event race, I bought a box of chocolates after that 10K, this week I'll buy another box of chocolates to celebrate my 100th parkrun.
Congratulations AlMorr !!I've only just seen this. A huge achievement and lovely photo. You look so fit and healthy. Such an ambassador not for just HU but also for running as part of a healthy lifestyle!!
AlMorr huge congratulations on completing your 100th parkrun! That's a fantastic achievement. I'm thinking of going to Scotland next summer for a mini break. Can you recommend a few scenic but not too hilly parkruns near Dundee for me to look at? π
Thanks Jogger22, Dundee has Camperdown parkrun, perhaps that's a bit hilly but not too far away is West Links parkrun in Arbroath, that is a run along the prom at Arbroath
Gosh I am late to the party!! Huge congratulations Al; 100 up ππππ. You have earned your chocolate whirls!! Wishing you many more 100 anniversaries.ππππ―ππ₯
Iβm a few days behind on reading the HU forum and have just read this!!! Congratulations Al thatβs amazing and what a great photo. Iβve run 91 parkruns so not too long before I join you in the 100 club ππ»π. Hope we get to see a photo of you in your new t-shirt π
