First park run in a while

After four weeks of being away (I haven’t progressed the transition to a life of more leisure and less work as yet, but that is still the plan!), flu and Covid boosters this week and a head cold I at last managed to get to the park run this morning! I have run very little in these weeks so knew it would need to be a bit of a ‘yomp’.

It was the 10th anniversary for the course so there was much celebration and lots of runners wore fancy dress, there was cake and bunting too.

I did a decent pace for the first half, then I switched to a fast walk, completing in 40 mins 59 seconds, I’m very surprised and pleased!

We all had cake to celebrate the 10th anniversary and then went for coffee with my new friends.

The plan is for me to do two longish runs during the week, ready for next week’s park run and then build up each week. My target is to reach 40 completed park runs by the end of the year (currently at 32).

Happy running all.
