Worthing Parkrun

I really really wanted to go to Southampton today but my eyesight is borderline for driving and I've also got that inner ear infection not healed yet.Went with daughter and granddaughter to Worthing and had a great run by the sea.

I am a bit silly and went the wrong way round the funnel so had to run back again which scuppered my chance if a PB but it would have been close otherwise.

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Thanks, I'm not that bothered about a PB but as I was near the end I knew it was close😁

Lovely day for your run , good company as well. Inner ear problem is not nice, not sure if mine is vertigo , think I turned wrong about 3 weeks ago now and felt my head was turned all the way around. Feeling like motion sickness . Ok walking straight if I don’t stop and speak to folk. Not so sunny up here, could have done with my gloves on and this was at 10.30 . So hope we get get some of that warmth you’re getting. Have a nice weekend. 😊

Thanks, not nice at all, I've been ok walking and running, but sitting is a bit like living on a boat, in fact I must had something going on for years, I used to love cruises because it felt very still. The weather is lovely I hope you get some too

Sounds like a great run with equally good company. Wise not to take on Southampton at the moment - especially as you have such a beautiful place to run locally. Eyesight will be sorted soon and I’m sure ear infection will clear … then there will be no stopping you 💪🏃‍♀️💪

Great run - you want to get your eyes looked at, so you can get PB-ing! 😬

(If we don't speak before, hope op goes really well.)

Great run for you in a lovely location. I’m sure I’d have done something similar with the funnel.,.that PB will be yours another day. You did really well with the extra challenge of the ear issue too!

Enjoy your weekend too! ❤️

I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, there were two people standing by the funnel, I said is it here? And I'm sure one of them said yes 😁

Thanks, yes it's lovely all along the coast, it's looking like no running for a couple of weeks after my surgery Thursday, I better get used to walking

There were 948 runners yesterday at Southampton so it was a bit congested. Hope when you do make it there will be fewer runners. Although saying that you will be better placed to see the crowd around you by then! I’m a bit behind with reading HU this weekend but it sounds like you had a lovely time at Worthing. I loved it there 😃 x

Yes we loved Worthing, met up with a load of my daughter's colleagues. It wasn't windy. My last for a while but I intend to walk it when I can. My daughter is mapping out different places to go, so far we have Southampton, Bournemouth, and Bath. Oh and next year Gt Yarmouth because we love it there and it'll be a challenge. So far she's walking. That's a lot of runners 😁 I'd love that, we had 545 runners loads busier than when you came but plenty of space at the back 🤣
