Very little holiday running 😎

After almost 4 weeks away in the campervan, I'm in a queue at Santander to come home. After a good running start, it all lapsed spectacularly. Too mountainous, too hot, too humid, too dark, not well ( holiday tum!)....My last run was along a gorgeous beach, but my mojo had completely disappeared, hubby reported that I looked like a zombie! But I have done other stuff, just not running. So the weekend at home beckons, as do the running shoes and we'll have to see how it goes. Hopefully any lost fitness will return and the determination to get back into my stride, quite literally. Adios, and happy running from a hot and sunny Spain.

🍏Sounds as if the holiday was a bit disappointing or maybe just seemed that way because of the heat! Anyway there’s no place like home!! Hope the last few days bring some fun and relaxation.. the runs will wait & will be good if you start back slowly and gently! Enjoyed your amazing photos! X

Thanks, but it was just the heat, the holiday was wonderful. Yes, I'm sure I'll need to return slowly. Be home later today, that will seem strange at first.

You will have kept up some of the levels walking , but the tum upset and all the contributing draining aspects may not have helped.

So maybe a few little jogettes and a few added exercises to get everything moving again...take it gently maybe and relax getting back into it x

Talking of joggettes...yesterday afternoon I started walking round one of the decks which then turned into jeffing, which caused some strange looks by fellow passengers. But you know what? It felt good, really good. Just what was needed.

Stunning location and a gorgeous set of photos 😍😍😍

Sometimes running just doesn’t happen for whatever reason. If it feels a bit tough to start with, don’t worry-that’s normal. There’s no need to try and do what you were doing before. My comeback run is always fifteen minutes max. Just build slowly and focus on consistency and you’ll be back where you want to be soon enough.

Really good luck!

Thanks, very sound advice. I'll listen to my body and take itfrom there.

If you use Nike Run Club, their “Comeback Run” is a great one for a comeback!
