Get an eye infection in both eyes that feels like 'flu so Im calling them rest days and hoping I'll be better and running soon.
Meanwhile I'm reading, in between quite a good detective series I found for my kindle, I saw a book with Runner in the title so downloaded it and laughed and recognised myself in parts of it .
For anyone wanting a light-hearted read its called; The Runner Nextdoor: The birth of a singular endurance athlete.
As the guy bites his tongue and doesn't spout all the good advice he can give his neighbour who is new to running I chuckle remembering those first runs with my neighbour, wanting to give all the good advice but not wanting to nag and bore her. π€£π€£π€£, And all his eagerness to impart his knowledge rings a bell too π
Run happy or rest well, I shall be soon back out running Im sure.

Thanks Floss, it kind of crept up on me, Friday my eyes were streaming, I blamed the sunscreen, then Friday night I really didnt feel great but wasn't sure why, Saturday, volunteering at Parkrun wiped me out for the day and Saturday night I was really unwell, eyes bloodshot and sticky but pain pills and antibiotic drops help so hopefully energy will return soon
Hope you feel better soon. Make the most of the excuse for a good read! A little rest from running will hopefully give you an extre spring in uour step when you next step out.
I do hope this has started clearing up for you Sue. At least you have found something to keep you occupied while you heal. Hopefully youβll be back to running very soon.
Thanks Brian, me too, its going on a bit, but I think the worst is over. I've done a lot of reading and knitted a hat and mittens set for the Christmas shoe box appeal so even though no energy Im busy π€£
aww bless you, obviously not meant to be this time. Hope you are feeling much better soon.π.
I may download that book too, sounds a bit like me when I first got into running and now have to keep myself in check before I give advice to 'newbies' who may not want my advice!π€
