Have been enjoying the NRC 10K plan but a couple of weeks ago the slight niggle in my knee progressed to my hip, despite reducing to 4 runs a week, so to be safe I saw a sports physio today. Diagnosed with ITB syndrome. Good news, it's fixable with a corse of treatment including knee strengthening exercises which should help my running and doesn't mean a complete end to it. Bad news, it's down to 2 "shortish" runs a week for the present to see how I get on. So, realistically, the 10K plan is out for at least the time being, which is disappointing but more important not to do permanent harm.

At least you can continue to run a little, and I'm assuming walking is ok? Good luck and heal quickly
I just completed week 5 of Ju Ju's 10K plan. I felt my right calf 'twinge' as I finished my 9K run. I gave it a rest for four days but it gave me 'grief' after 2K on my next run. So here I am on holiday in the Vendee in France, having to take it easy, eat good food, and go on some nice walks! The frustrating thing is that I wanted to run a 10K with my Son at the beginning of September, I don’t think that will be possible now.
I've been through this before (it was my left calf, last time). It is just a matter of patience, strengthening exercises, and gradual build up again.
My guess is that it will be similar for you. For me this battle with my body has become just as much part of my running journey as doing the actual runs. My body is telling me it's secret weaknesses. It is up to me to lovingly tend to it.
Bon courage. Keep on keeping on!
