I didn't plan a run today, but..... After listening to a Run a faster 5k podcast yesterday afternoon, I sat in the night while I wasn't sleeping and scrolled through Nike Run Clubs runs, saving any short ones that I haven't run before and I came across Spooky Speed Run. I made a cup of tea, got myself a biscuit and checked in here, read RunBrianRun race report which by the way is excellent and well worth reading then settled down to sleep.
When I woke late this morning I still didn't plan to run! I planned a long soak in a deep bath! The last few days I've got back from a run planning a bath but went out so it's been a quick blast under the shower.
That Spooky Speed Run kept sneaking in my head though, bit like the opposite of a gremlin.
Anyway, when I finally got up thinking I'd make another cup of tea my treaturous hands pulled on shorts and a teeshirt and off I went.
Flipping heck!!! That was fun 😊 no one knows what's coming next (well coach B does) it's all about pace and effort! Not knowing how long the intervals would be and it being day 4 of running I took them a bit conservatively, and enjoyed every one, especially the recovery ones 🤣🤣🤣
This is definitely one for the end of October and that's all I'm saying about it.
The sky has some blue, the flowers are gleaming, and I have one pound left of my giving up smoking weight to lose, so I'm feeling quite upbeat at the moment. .
Run happy my VRB's 2 of whom I've now met at Parkrun and if you need to, rest well.
