What the heck has coronation street got to do with running? Well, quite a lot this morning.
I've struggled with my running all year and I know it's all in my head. Life wasn't kind last year and I've let it overwhelm me. Here's where Coronation Street comes into it's own. Watching last night there was a scene with a man dying from MND and his Mum. She was telling him how well he was coping and how strong he was being. I know that he's a fictional character but there are people going through all sorts in real life and it made me appreciate that I actually have a pretty good life.
So I got up this morning to a nice refreshing rain and went out for a run. The aim was to just do a couple of km and see how it went. 5k later (well, actually 5.5K) I'm back home enjoying the benefits of a runner's high and wondering what wisdom the next episode of Corrie will impart!
