I've found a NRC 5k that I haven't run before so that's today's run chosen. After yesterday's prancing around on the wet sand my shoes were wet and they are still wet today π³ so it's the old ones, they've had about a year running and about a year walking so not much bounce left in them. Shorts, teeshirt and we were off.
The weather is lovely, warm, not too sunny, breezy but not too windy. We set off on a warm up walk together, then I ran on, 1 minute run 1 minute walk. The tide was further in because we were earlier, so no sand to run on, lots of people out today, quite a few dogs, bit of dodging from side to side of the path and some running on the grass to get round family groups. A few people stepped aside as they saw me coming for which I smiled and thanked them.
The running parts were on the fast side for me and by 3k I was tiring, but on and on, I turned at. 2.5k waved at my neighbour who wasn't far behind, I know she'll outrun me before long.
Back the way I came, cooling breeze in my face, and 5k done. I wasn't listening to coach B with any attention today so will listen again another day.
Run happy or rest well, enjoy parkrun tomorrow those of you who are attending, and shout out to this week's racers, pom poms waving .
