RunLEJOG: what is so special about 33 miles?

Well, after several days of not putting in any mileage into RunLEJOG (my real self discovering the joys of the C5k+ podcast running) I have put the data ๐Ÿงฎ in this morning and jumped forward to 33 miles! ๐Ÿš€

Now for those runners who have already received their 100m postcard, or even the 50m postcard, this may not seem very much.

However, for this super-slow-runner ๐Ÿข ๐ŸŒ the key takeaway is this: I think I will make it too my stretch target of 333.8 and thus Iโ€™ll reach my hometown!

We have more than 10 months ๐Ÿ“† to go which - if I keep my current running schedule - should get me there with some time to spare! So once I will arrive, Iโ€™m sure my LeJog self will drink tea โ˜•๏ธ with my real self, and we probably both will go for a doubley-fun, doubley-slow run! ๐Ÿข๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿข

Well done CBDB thatโ€™s great progress!๐Ÿ‘ I hope youโ€™re enjoying the challenge?๐Ÿ˜Š

I went out for a run this morning towards LEJOG4๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ My Garmin watch ran out of battery towards the end, but fortunately I was able to upload it to Strava via my computer when I got back. ๐Ÿ˜€

I probably ran about 10.5km but Garmin only registered 9.68km before it conked out๐Ÿ˜€ Lesson learnt!

At least my 9.56km run was enough to get me to under 800 miles remaining (799.59 miles to be precise!) so Iโ€™m pleased with that๐Ÿ™‚

Good luck with completing your personal challenge!๐Ÿ‘

Wow ๐Ÿ˜ฒ ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Brilliant! Yes, as brilliant as all these gadgets are, they tether us to the next charging plug! I used to have quite a sophisticated phone in the pre-smartphone era, and it lasted 6 -8 weeks, before needing to recharge! Unbelievable for today!

๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ indeed! Iโ€™m already thinking of persuading LEJOG to let us tortoises ๐Ÿข continue to the end, even after the year has finished! So Iโ€™ll be looking for what they do with LEJOG1!

Like you say we've got a whole year to complete the challenge, so plenty time๐Ÿ˜Š

Yes, although Iโ€™m somewhat anxious about what running in winter entails... ๐Ÿฅถ

Obviously it can get really cold but once you're running you heat up well.

Glad you posted this. And at the risk of sounding very stupid indeed. How do I upload the evidence please.

It has added my distance each time I have logged it but I cannot work out how to upload evidence. I do have my walks a d runs logged on strava but how do I get it from phone to the map please.

Hope you get this sorted. Have direct-messaged you, because it might be a longer conversation.

That's great - you're well on track to meet your own personal challenge and that's all that matters. We are all going at a different pace and all have our own individual goals and circumstances - that's the good thing about this challenge we can all use it in the best way for us.

Just keep going!!!
