…but as the temperature rises, I can see my pace getting slower!!😫🤣

To be fair, I really enjoyed this mornings run on my local trails. Not a cloud in the sky but still enough shade on my route to keep it comfortable. The cyclists were out in force today, as were the dog walkers, although unusually, I only saw one other runner!🤷‍♀️

Very few muddy patches remain on my route - and in places the paths have become baked and rutted which means a bit of care and attention in order not to turn an ankle (I had one close call!)

Having returned to our local recreation ground at the end of my run and with my watch saying. 10.2K, it seemed only right to run on to hit 11k before heading home.🙂

Hope those who can run, have a good week of running ahead - and get well soon to anyone on the ic. Hope you’re back out there soon.👍🙂

Well done for your 11km. Heading for the trees is an excellent idea at the moment Sandra. Haven’t you had a glorious week for half term? I think there will be many who wished they had stayed in the UK rather than going to Greece or Italy this holiday.

We seem to have gone straight from muddy trails to hard baked very quickly and as you say, you have to be careful on both.

It’s hard in the heat! I’m trying to ignore pace and just focus on the fact I’ve made it out! Great run for you. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Yep, it’s all about miles in the legs - however slow!🤣🙂

That's brilliant, 11k in this warm weather, but tempting to carry on when it's so lovely to be out

I suffer in the heat too! Excellent job to tick off a good 11k 👍😊

well done on your run and it sounds like you've had our share of the sunshine, although yesterday afternoon was sunny in the end, but today was really overcast and cold!

Im half on the IC and half off. Got a bit of a groin strain which just doesn't seem to want to go, not stopping me run but pace is much slower, and I can't blame the heat!! 😚

A great 11K.... this weather is grand, but like you, it does slow us down a tad:)

I have loved being at the coast , a light breeze keeping the really high, ( for the UK), temperature feeling down... back there in 10 days time.

The dappled shade will have helped you too... and isn't it lovely to run in? You are right..it is getting the miles in... and I am doing that , very slowly!

Well done you!
