Getting back into running after a back problem

I’ve been doing my back exercises and doing no more than fast walking for nearly three weeks now. The good news is that my back really is recovering well 🤞. So I thought it was time today to get out and try a shortish run, to see if I still could!

I left it until around 3pm but finally got out of the door. I began at a slow pace and kept going at that pace, but managed a good 25 minutes, so I’m pleased. I’ll try a few more like this this week to get ready for Saturday’s park run 😆.

That must have felt good after 3 weeks of no running. Take it easy, though, to start with !

That’s good advice, thanks. I do tend to be impatient so will have to take it slowly

Brilliant! Those comeback runs are such great ones to tick off. Take it steady and hopefully before you know it you’ll be back where you want to be. 🎉

it must be such a relief to have a recovering back and being able to get back out there to run.

I hope you feel ok today. Take care 🙂👍🏃‍♀️
