Well it is springtime. I have not run much during the winter, but I have been cycling to work regularly (last week I covered nearly 100km), so I was expecting to be on good running form..... not true!
It was a struggle, my body felt heavy and slow. I am still carrying 5-8kg too much which doesn't help. Anyway, as I always try to obtain smthg positive from every run, I can report on the arrival of spring. Before leaving home I heard a hoopoe, and on the run I could hear a woodpecker tapping at a tree. The rapeseed is in full bloom, so it is pretty pleasant.
I managed 4.5k but needed a couple of stops to catch my breathe. It's ok, not a bad start.

Well done. Its always hard starting up again. I'm sure the aerobic fitness is there from all the cycling. You just need to persuade the legs to run again. And Spring is the perfect time to run. I love the Hoopoe, one of my favourite birds and a beautiful call.
