Feels so good to run again!

Hi all. Just had to write a post of joy. Due to an amazing holiday and a much less enjoyable bout of covid I have only run once since February.

I have really missed my runs and become increasingly frustrated and envious reading everyone else's running posts.

After reading the post from dijep the other day I just couldn't get the idea of a run on a bright sunny morning accompanied by a podcast of "Wind in the Willows" out of my mind. So this morning as Mole emerged into the sunshine I pottered off with a pleasant warm up walk followed by a wonderfully slow 3k run finishing alongside a lovely real stream just as Mole relished in the joys of waking up in Ratty's home alongside the river at the end of Chapter1.

Can't wait for Monday and a gentle run with Chapter 2 .

Just so happy to have that post run happy feeling back -I've missed it even more than the running!!

The lovely weather makes such a difference, doesn't it? I'm pleased you enjoyed your run. It feels good to be back.

Such a lovely post to read. That first run in a little while is such a good one to have done. Now you ran recently instead of a while ago, it’ll be much easier to go again. The sunshine definitely makes it nicer too! ☀️🏃‍♀️❤️

Thanks. Yes back on track. Hoping to go back to my normal run days with just short runs for a couple of weeks and then increase the distances again. Never satisfied-now I have my running back I am craving the long ones!

What a lovely run for you I can identify with your frustration having been out of running from November til January. I’ve just completed C25k again and what a joyful time I had doing it. So I agree with you it does feel so so good to run again. Enjoy that feeling and happy running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Holidays are great, COVID less so, I'd never really considered a story, music guided runs and podcasts yes but not a story, I'll give this a go once I'm running again. Thank you

How are you feeling.Hope the covid symptoms aren't too bad. I totally agree that you should try a story! The calm gentle voice was just right gor a very slow recovery run!

Take care of yourself.

I think I'm not too bad until I try and do something, then I realise how horrible COVID is, Every day I think I'll go for a little short run and every day I don't, but I'm sure I will soon and will try a story

I found even a walk quite challenging for at least a week after testing negative but the last couple of days have seen a big improvement . 🤞you start to feel better soon.Look after yourself.

Super well done Week7 🤩. That run sounds great, and finishing by the stream very apt! Bet you can’t wait for chapter 2.
