I personally always do "Dynamic" stretches before a run ,But if it's not part of your routine you may want to consider it in this cold weather as your muscles will contract in the cold to preserve heat.

Great advice, as ever Instructor57 🙂 but did I do this today, even though I know I should? Oops! 🙄 Luckily a good warm up walk seemed to suffice but please keep reminding us!🙂

Good to read, thank you.During C25K I only did a warm-up walk because on the odd occasion I tried dynamic stretches pre run, I always pulled something. I've long suspected that I should probably do the warm up walk, then the dynamic stretches, then the run - it's a bit awkward though, especially when I've driven somewhere to run and feel rather self conscious doing stretches in public! But I will make more effort in cold weather now.
