Better to Change Your Plan on the Hoof Than Risk Injury

Well as soon as I started to run I knew that a 30-40 minute run wasn't going to happen despite walking into this beautiful sunrise. I captured the incoming cruise ship approaching Funchal just at the right moment. Not the best photo as I had to zoom in so far.Back to the run. My breathing wasn't right from the get go so I decided to run 10 mins out and back and it didn't really improve although achy leg muscles became apparent as I got close to 20 mins. My last run with all the extra hiking I did obviously had effected them. I have never had achy leg muscles all through C25k but now I know how it feels.

Did my legs know all along that I wasn' t up for running and they just told my lungs to drop a subtle hint to me!

The other 4 photos are my cool down walk 😂 oh yes and I'm going up not down 😂
