It was extremely difficult to lace up and get out of the door today given the torrential rain, but today was important so out we went.
The rain was lashing and our regular haunt around the pond was sodden. I gingerly skirted the puddles though the sludgy edges eventually seeped in so, through the puddles I went.
The trees went decorated in their autumnal colours, the wind had died down and our usually busy Sunday jog was quiet, though we weren't the only die hards.
I trotted along and sagely following the wise one's advice I added on only a little extra, as I have been doing for the last 2 months, slowly but surely. Best distance in a long time, reached my 8k.
It's strange to be affected by the loss of someone you don't know but Tim's steady encouragement and candid but caring advice was always appreciated. You made a difference in my running life. Thank you.
